45th Arizona Fiesta Bowl Parade

Kick off the New Year with a much-loved Arizona tradition, the Annual Fiesta Bowl Parade, held on Saturday, January 2 at 11 a.m. in Downtown Phoenix. This year’s theme will be “Arizona’s Got Game,” as the Fiesta Bowl is known for more than just the two games that it puts on each year. At the Fiesta Bowl, they want to put as much emphasis as possible on the fact that the Bowl and its partners do so much more than simply hold the games. Their goal is to shine a spotlight on our communities and those that take Arizona to the next level. The Fiesta Bowl Parade is the largest single day spectator event in Arizona, and this year they will be highlighting 12 communities across the state—from Payson to Tombstone. There will also be 10 Arizona high school bands performing and 13 high-flying helium balloons. In attendance this year, expect to see Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Miss Arizona 2015 – Madi Esteves, as well as Grand Marshal and Arizona Diamondbacks Hall of Famer Randy Johnson. Quarles & Brady Lends a Hand
at Capitol School Festival

Nearly two dozen members of Quarles & Brady’s Phoenix office joined together to volunteer their time as “homeroom parents” at Capitol School’s Annual Fall Celebration. This was the first of three events during the 2015-2016 school year where attorneys and staff will volunteer their time to Capitol School, providing both treats and interactive activities to engage students from Kindergarten to sixth grade. While the Capitol School program kicked off with the attorneys and staff putting on homeroom class parties, the partnership quickly evolved into one that included reading and writing assistance, mentorship, fundraising, financial support to students’ families when in crisis, and even a donation to help remodel the school’s media center.
