Sam & Betty Kitchell Family Heritage Garden Opening
The Desert Botanical Garden is pleased to announce the opening of the Sam & Betty Kitchell Family Heritage Garden. The Heritage Garden is located just north of the historic Webster Center and is home to many of the Garden’s oldest plantings, including the iconic cardones and the first accessioned plant, the creeping devil cactus. Ballet Arizona Awarded $100,000 Grant
The School of Ballet Arizona (SBAZ) was awarded a 12-month $100,000 Implementation Award from the Flinn Foundation to support the growth and capitalization of the School of Ballet Arizona. 4th Annual Arcadia Fun Run
The 4th Annual Arcadia Family Fun Run, which raises money for research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), the leading cause of death in infants between one-month and one-year of age, will take place Sunday, April 17 at 8:00 a.m. The event is organized by Katie and Mark Cosmas, whose five-month-old daughter, Taylor, passed away from SIDS in 2010. All proceeds from the Arcadia Family Fun Run will be donated to the Three Butterflies SIDS Foundation, which supports researchers like Dr. Hannah Kinney, whose work has led to the most promising development of our knowledge about SIDS. Two Brothers Tapping Party
In celebration of its one-year anniversary in Scottsdale and the commencement of Arizona Beer Week, Two Brothers Tap House & Brewery recently hosted a public tapping party.
