Fall into October

While much of the country is experiencing warm hues of fall colors, those of us in the Valley of the Sun are experiencing cooler temps and getting back outdoors. It’s exciting to think that fall is officially here. And you know what that means—sports (the World Series, soccer and football), comfort food and beer!

Hailing from the Midwest and East Coast, I will admit, I still miss the changing of the leaves and the crisp fall air, but I can still sport my favorite team’s colors in a sweatshirt and breathe in the smell of a tantalizing tailgate, at the stadium or in the backyard. Although I truly enjoy almost every sport, football is my favorite, and I’m thrilled that it’s back and grateful for Saturday’s college games and the NFL’s Sunday Ticket! Whoop whoop! Mike and I break out the Chiefs gear, and it’s on!

This month’s issue of Paradise Valley Lifestyle provides some great information on a few of our Valley’s beloved teams—and a new one to love—as well as some hometown watering holes to quench your beer cravings. And you can’t watch a game without some delicious snacks, so we’ve provided recipes for a few that are sure to score with the crowd.

When it comes to looking and feeling your best, check out what’s trending and some new products for fall hair. Please don’t forget to recognize that it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Read about the largest private breast-imaging practice in the country that has offices here in the Valley.

Finally, our Parting Thoughts shares how one man has woven together his love of both sports and business for more than 30 years. Time flies when you’re having fun!

Here’s to winning records, high-fives and foamy upper lips. Make it a great October and Happy Halloween!

Cheers!
