Most of my life I’ve lived where April showers brought May flowers. However, we know that’s not how the Valley brings it in. We’re fortunate enough to live in a climate where things bloom all year long.

April 22 is Earth Day, and we at Paradise Valley Lifestyle would like to enlighten you on some of our area’s ecological treasures in our “Eco” issue.

A perfect location to do that might be the healthy oasis that’s been created at Singh Meadows. Grab a snack and stroll around the pond.

April is also Autism Awareness Month. Visit the Beneficial Beans Garden, at Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC), and support a program where you can receive a weekly bag of seasonal produce.

Use those goodies in a recipe from Chef Zipora, whose book, Recipe for a Delicious Life was recently released. See what hidden ingredient she often adds.

If you’re into your own gardening, be sure to swing by family-owned The Green Goddess and pick up one of their favorite gardening tools.

Whatever it is you enjoy doing to be earth-friendly, keep doing it, and thank you!

With admiration and gratitude,
