Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour released its new carnival-themed Book o’ Cocktails, filled with 18 pages of stunning craft cocktail delights. This edition was led by Head Proprietor Ross Simon (2016 and 2017 Tales of the Cocktail nominee and Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame recipient) and the Bitter & Twisted bar team. AAWL’s Summer Camp: Science, Art and Animals—Oh My!
The state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter, Arizona Animal Welfare League doesn’t just rehome and rehabilitate thousands of animals every year; it also has a robust education department that hosts fun, creative and scientific camps all summer long. Offered for kids ages 7–17, there are various themes and week-long sessions available. The sessions are interactive and explore a range of topics focusing on animal care, veterinary medicine, responsible pet ownership and wildlife education. Capital One to Open its First Café at Fashion Square
Capital One will open its first café location in Arizona in early 2020 at Scottsdale Fashion Square. As the first of its kind in Arizona, the Capital One Café integrates digital tools and in-person interactions focused on customer needs, blending the physical and digital worlds, so accessing banking products and services is a simple, stress-free and seamless experience. Capital One Cafés are places where people can get help with their accounts, learn about new digital and financial tools, tap into free Wi-Fi, or simply grab a cup of coffee or pastry made by a local baker (and not just Capital One customers). The cafés have technology integrated throughout the space, including interactive screens loaded with information on money basics and products and a Demo Bar, where people can test out new technology. Along with having easy access to digital and financial tools, visitors will also be able to learn new ways to manage their finances through complimentary Money Coaching and Money Workshops.
