November is American Diabetes Month
Diabetes is one of the leading causes of disability and death in the United States, according to HealthFinder.gov. One out of every 10 Americans has diabetes, with another 84 million adults at high-risk for developing Type 2 diabetes.
If it’s not controlled, diabetes can cause blindness, nerve damage, kidney disease, and it can even lead to death.
For those at risk for Type 2 diabetes, making healthful changes, such as exercising more, losing weight and eating healthy, can lower your risk.
The 2019 Ferrari Club Annual Experience in Scottsdale
The Ferrari Club of America, by far the largest Ferrari club in the world with some 7,000 members, holds an annual event that moves to different places across the country, but somehow has never been in Arizona—until now. The 2019 Ferrari Club Annual Experience will be held in Scottsdale Nov. 6-11, with a decidedly Western theme echoed in the logo, Horsepower and Horses.
More than 600 attendees have already registered, making this the second-largest gathering ever held.
The organizers have arranged a number of individual activities, including drives and rallies to places such as Prescott, Payson and Show Low, track days at the new APEX Racetrack in Maricopa, a judged Concours and numerous social and dining functions.
You can count on seeing lots of Ferraris all week, but one event is open and even free to the public—the Concours, which is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 7 at the Scottsdale Sports Complex at the corner of Hayden and Princess.

It features a wide gamut of guests covering topics like design, travel, cooking, business, life and everything that inspires good living. CandelariaDesign.com
